Best current electricity provider? My renewal came with direct energy and I can’t imagine it’s better?

Hi, I currently have the free 9pm to 9am plan with direct energy and it looks like on the renewal they are trying to shift me to a flat rate service. I imagine that this would be more expensive each month as between 9pm and 9am is when I usually do my laundry and have the ac cranked. Am I best taking / negotiating their renewal or do people usually change provider every year anyway to end up with the best rate? Thanks in advance for any insights
