Best Case Scenario
Just thought of the best case scenario for the rest of the season. Hear me out…..
Espada is fired. Either it's happening as we speak (via text from Bagwell), next week (in person by Bagwell), or sometime soon (Anyway by Bagwell), but definitely before the season is over.
Bagwell convinces Crane to let him take over as manager (What's another bad decision, right?) If we thought we'd seen a pretty intolerable season so far, hang on to your cowboy hats and boots 'cause it's about to turn into a bull ride! Bagwell continues the bad management of an on/off bullpen, but also begins to rub players the wrong way outside of the field as he develops a "my way or the highway" management style.
The tipping point reaches when he signs Trevor Bauer without Crane's consent (somehow, idk). The two quickly become best buds and crash a party Crane was having where Crane is left so embarrassed and humiliated by the duos actions, that he is forced to fire both, and start considering selling the team. It is afterward revealed that Bagwell was the phantom menace the entire time…..
Elon buys the team, sends them to space, and they come back with the first ever Galaxy Series trophy……
Or at the very least, Crane brings back a strong analytics department, let's Dana Brown do the job he was brought to do, and if our team continues to suck it'll be because of good old regression and the league getting better, but at least we'll be able to sleep comfortably every night, knowing that we didn't throw away perfectly winnable games…..
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, A Frustrated Astros Fan
