Best (and cost effective) Shoe Repair in Houston area?

SSIA. I have a pair of exceptionally made, suede-loafers that are 5 years old, but now need some TLC, specially on the sole and fabric. I've spoken to several Houston Shoe Doctor locations, but they've stated they are backed-up until after the holidays. I'd like to wear the shoes to upcoming family and holiday events so I can't part for them for that long. I also don't have the largest personal budget currently, but am willing to drive to any part of the city. Any help or recommendations greatly appreciated!
