Beginner Poker Games/Leagues

I am brand new to poker and wanting to get better, but I’m finding online gaming to be frustrating at best and rigged at worst. I don’t want to embarrass myself going against the more skilled and seasoned players that I assume flock to bars’ poker nights (I don’t imagine they’d want me at their table ither and can’t blame them!) and am hoping to find somewhere other beginners are welcome.
