Been having a toothache since mid-July. Should I wait for another month for an appointment at UT School of Dentistry?

I'm a broke college student without dental insurance. Been having a toothache since mid-july. I suspect that I might need a root canel+wisdom teeth extraction. After researching UT School of Dentistry seems like the best low-cost option, but they only start to accept appointments after late-september. Should I wait for another month or get my teeth checked now? The pain is moderately bad but definitely not to the point of insufferable. Thank you!
