Be careful with suggested tips at Houston restaurants
I recently visited Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina on W Grey. My total was $11. My friend and I split food. The suggested tip for 18% was ~$6. They were suggesting a tip on the tables total maybe? There were only 3 of us at lunch. I wish I had kept the receipt or taken a pic.
My friend called them out, and they admitted to doing it. Be careful at other restaurants. We’re all struggling.
EDIT: I tipped a little over $5. I only ordered one thing and was there less than an hour. So, I didn’t get much service anyway. The point is, do your own math and don’t always go based off the suggested tip.
