Baso Chef a horrible person?

I grew up in Houston and have lived here all of my life. Baso just opened up a little over a year ago and I’ve heard some HORRIBLE things about their chef regarding women. I’ve wanted to try the basque concept but am not interested in eating the food made by a potentially awful person. Can anybody confirm?
