BARC ? You would think the objective is to find a dog a forever home ? Not so simple …

Left BARC 14 of August without the dog I wanted to adopt. I was told that he was tagged to be rescued by a rescue group. His kennel wasn’t marked. It was 4:30 or so and all adoptions should be made and completed by 5:00 p.m. spoke to several people and was told he was tagged and too bad for me . ? Policy is first come first serve . Isn’t the objective to find a forever home? Isn’t bird in the hand better ? I was told that he wasn’t available until today. Yet, an organization had shown previous interest in him. That and a lot of other inconsistencies in their reasons to not allow a person who was present and ready to give a dog a forever home that day. Their behavior fell very short of their objective and mission statement.
