Bad time to go to HISD?

My son just got a last minute seat at 2 top magnet schools in HISD but the takeover has me nervous to pull him out of his private school right now. I wonder if seats are becoming available because people are pulling their kids out? I know new policies are impacting all schools – should I wait and see what happens or consider the opportunity?
