Baby friendly activities to do in Houston

I have a 9 month old son, and we’re looking for indoor things to do in Houston. I had considered the Children’s Museum, but is it more toddler/kid friendly and how clean is it? I feel bad because we’ve only ever gone to the grocery store and the mall because Houston feels like it’s hot all year round. TIA!
