Avoid St. Luke’s Hospital

Unfortunately the conditions and pandemonium at St. Luke’s in downtown Houston medical center are bad. The EHR systems and some databases (rumor is it’s made by google) are being held by ransom, and since 6am today they have been working at a snails pace. As multiple doctors have told me “it’s like working in 1950’s”. I am seeing them work off of printed spread sheets and they are mostly standing around in groups laughing and taking about it. I don’t blame them. It sucks. Ransomware is a huge problem. The doctors are encouraging patients to go else where now… well… I’m out of here.
