Avoid Ice at Galleria

I feel kinda awkward posting about this, but honestly I feel like it should be shared.

I skate frequently at the galleria and as a POC I have always loved how diverse the other skaters and staff are. I have been doing their skating course for 3 years now. Recently, they have gotten a new “principal” of the skating school and she seemed fine. Not really any different than before. But today during the courses, I heard her tell one of the teachers that “Only white people should be info figure skating.”

It really shook me to my core, and I left before class. I just sitting in my car now. Not sure if this is even the right place to talk about this.
