Humble ISD is poised to appoint new leadership following the board’s Nov. 26 vote to formally terminate Superintendent Elizabeth Fagen’s contract.

Trustees voted 5-2 in favor of naming Interim Superintendent Roger Brown as the finalist for the position at the board’s Dec. 17 special-called meeting.

During the board’s Dec. 9 meeting, Chris Todd, Denise Morrison and Nicole Doerre Peters were sworn to serve as trustees for positions 3, 4 and 5, respectively.

Humble ISD trustees will consider naming a lone finalist for the district’s vacant superintendent position on Dec. 17—less than a month after terminating former Superintendent Elizabeth Fagen’s contract.

The proposed policy changes would not become official until Houston ISD’s board of managers approve the measures on a second vote, which board members said will likely take place in January.
