Local government and mobility advocacy groups said they are planning ahead to keep up with the persisting transportation needs in Montgomery County.

A special meeting of the Montgomery County Commissioners Court scheduled for Oct. 19 will consider approving two locations to open the morning of Oct. 19.

In September, resident concern over the proposed Mitchell Island development came to light, and it the topic is expected to come up again at the Oct. 22 The Woodlands board meeting.

The Woodlands Fire Department has conducted a construction analysis of the building this year so it can be repaired and rendered suitable for a second company to locate at the facility, Fire Chief Palmer Buck said.

Construction projects are underway or coming soon to FM 2978, Hwy. 242 and Gosling Road.

Meals will be available through the end of the 2020-21 school year under the updated guidelines.

Work on the Robinson Road project began in March.

Work on the project is expected to begin in October.
