Landing at Watermere Woodland Lakes opened Nov. 8, providing assisted living, memory care and extended care services.

The new location at the former Luby’s location in The Woodlands is expected to be open by April 2024.

The holiday season kicks into high gear this weekend with a variety of events for families and individuals interested in music, theater and kids’ activities.

Several locations have opened in The Woodlands area this fall serving coffee and local food favorites like hot chicken and barbecue.

Located throughout the LSC service area, the food pantries serve students, employees and the community.

Projects at sites at Market Street, Hughes Landing and on Kuykendahl Road are coming soon or underway.

In addition to ongoing Santa photo opportunities and ice skating, the weekend includes Artfeel, a public art celebration at Hughes Landing.

A Nov. 28 announcement from the Montgomery County Food Bank states it has had a surge in demand in the past month and is facing high demand for food assistance going into the holiday season.

Fire Chief Palmer Buck, who has been with the department since 2019, said the department began to form while the community was still in its earliest stages.

Retail occupancy decreased from 96.3% to 95.4%, and 406,700 square feet of retail space was under construction as of early November.
