A free concert, a fundraiser and several outdoor activities are among the events happening in The Woodlands this weekend, from Nov. 13-16. This list is not comprehensive and events are subject to change.

Four candidates are vying for a seat on The Woodlands Township board of directors.

Election Day is Nov. 4, and voters in The Woodlands area will have different options for locations to vote based on their county of residence. 

Businesses in The Woodlands area that have opened recently or announced an upcoming anniversary include a seafood restaurant, fitness and physical therapy locations as well as a long-standing health clinic.

Families can check out a free photo backdrop at Market Street, and kids can visit The Woodlands Children’s Museum, among other activities in The Woodlands area this weekend.

Since chains such as Randalls and Kroger have closed several stores in the region, township leaders and the leasing company Regency Centers said they are looking at options other than a single large grocery store for the remaining spaces.

Events this weekend include the annual The Woodlands Pride Festival as well as several seasonal trick-or-treat opportunities.

Early voting begins Oct. 20, and The Woodlands will have one contested election for its board of directors on the ballot.

A free concert will be held at Hughes Landing and Shenandoah plans a family fun day.
