I know that Houston is a red light running shithole, and there's no point to this post, but just wanted to vent.

Some dark-greyish-greenish prius ran a red light heading northbound on Kirby at the intersection with Inwood maybe an hour ago, as my son and I were starting to cross. And, of course, it wasn't even the kind where they're trying to beat the yellow or anything. I remember seeing the light for Kirby traffic turning yellow, then red. I saw all the Kirby northbound traffic slow down and stop. Then the pedestrian light turning green. Then we started crossing, and a white SUV on our left hand side was also crossing westbound. Then I hear the tires of the white SUV do a quick skid. It slowed down just enough for the Prius to cross in front of it. That's the first I saw the Prius at all. When it was already in front of me. Then it was gone.

These people are just so fucked up. And of course there are no repercussions, no red light cameras, etc. :|
