Read MoreThis is what I would like to see from the Texans in every part of the upcoming offseason. My mock drafts and free-agent mock-ups are based on current predictions.
Staff Resigings- First I think the Texans need to get rid of Tim Kelly. His play-calling has been up and down all season. In this last game against the 49ers, he had TE Pharoh Brown blocking Bosa alone which lead to hold that pretty much sealed the game. I would like to see the Texans promote QB coach Pep Hamilton to Offensive Coordinator. Looking at Coach Hamilton’s past record he has worked with Andrew Luck, Justin Herbert, and now we are seeing how he has developed Davis Mills. Hamilton is going to be targeted by many teams this offseason so the time is now to lock him in as a major piece to this organization.
Trades- Of course, we have to talk about Deshaun Watson. I wanna see this three-team trade involving Watson. Texans receive 2022 Eagles 1st (via Dolphins), 2022 Eagles 1st, 2023 Eagles 1st, 2022 Steelers 2nd round, 2023 Steelers 2nd round. Eagles receive Deshaun Watson, Steelers receive Jalen Hurts.
Resigning: Bring back Justin Reid bring back Desmond King. Two younger guys who have proven they deserve a good contract. These two guys have been the light in our secondary and letting them walk would be a huge mistake for this team.
Free Agency: Being a rebuilding team we can’t bring in any big-name guys yet so my focus is on young guys with high potential but has been struggling that we can get on a good deal. For me, that person is TE Evan Engram. He’s only 26 years old with high potential if he can get his hands right. He is one of the fastest TE in the league and would work well alongside Davis Mills.
Draft: So after my mock up Deshaun Watson Trade the Texans are left with the no. 3, 19, and 20 picks. For the 3rd pick, I am assuming Kayvon and Aidan are the first two off. I am going T Evan Neal with this pick. Pairing him at RT across from Tunsil will really boost our OLine. with the 19th pick I am going to CB Andrew Booth Jr.. Booth is one of the top corner talents in this draft very athletic with high potential. Based on recent mock drafts he will be available. With the 20th pick, we help out our Dline with DT Jordan Davis. This dude is a monster. I was surprised to see most mock drafts having him fall this far as for most of this last CFB season many thought he should be a Heisman contender. Lastly in the second round (don’t shoot me for saying this) I want to go RB Kenneth Walker II. I know a lot of people don’t like going early on an RB but Walker has just had one of the best RB seasons of all time and if he’s available in the second round to get him he will be a big help in opening up the playbook and taking pressure off the Oline and receivers.
Recap: Fire Kelly and replace with Hamilton, Trade Watson for 3 1st and 2 2nds, Resign Reid and King, Sign Engram, draft Neal, Booth Jr, Davis, and Walker II

I personally see a lot of pre injury Carson Wentz in Mills. I can also see alittle Derek Carr in Mills. I’ve heard people say his play style is similar to Brady but he rolls out of the pocket a lot more than Brady does. submitted by /u/yo…
