Hey all!

I’m in houston after a long hiatus, then the Plague hit, I spent most of my time indoors like a lot of people. And while i’m gingerly getting out thereand testing the waters for more outside activity (Yes, i’m fully vaccinated) I know i need to find more friends, compatriots, and those who share my passions. However, compared to a number of other places I have known, Houston is many things but it isn’t a huge geek town. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been to Comicpalooza and Delta H. We have geeks a plenty out there.

So where does one go to find hangout spots to find other geeks?

I know a number will say “online” or various shops but I have struck up conversations at shops to be rebuffed pretty quickly. (everyone is still scared of either plague, strangers, or that one scary geek who doesn’t get a clue and invades your space and doesn’t understand when you try to get away. I’m not that kind of geek.) And this is online so here I am.

Anyway, what do you suggest?

For the record, I’m a RPG/Comic/Star Wars/Star Trek/Some Fantasy/Babylon 5/Doctor Who kind of geek with some other interests which would take too long to list. I’m also in the west Galleria area.
