I know of 4 different people currently looking out in Katy. 3 18yr olds and one in his 30’s. No criminal history and good credit but they can’t even seem to get interviews. The kids are all good kids trying to start anywhere at all and the older guy has a solid history and is a hard worker

They are applying at grocery stores big box stores, fast food, warehouses, basically anywhere with a sign out front but no one gets interviews. One kid did get hired on at Burlington but he was given one 4hr shift in two weeks. It’s weird. It seems like everyone is desperate for workers and hiring immediately but no one seems to be offering actual employment.

Does anyone have any good leads for jobs? Any help would be appreciated.

My 4yr loves everything dance but can be kind of hyperactive. I’m thinking about getting tickets to the nutcracker this year but I don’t want to upset anyone if she gets too fidgety and we need to bail early. I’m thinking we get back row tickets for a 2pm Saturday performance. Are there more kids then? She will most likely be mesmerized by the performance but I want to plan just in case. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

My daughter was gifted some small geodes that we haven’t been able to open. The Natural History museum of here got rid of their geode cracker awhile back. Is there somewhere else that has one? TIA!
