Vacation around Houston area? Better than Galveston?
We originally planned on flying into Houston and then driving to Galveston for 4 night long weekend. But we haven’t been very overwhelmed with things to do in Galveston. We’re worried we will be bored. We have never been to Houston before and very unfamiliar with the areas around it. Anyone have any good recommendations on what to do for a long 4 day weekend vaca? What are your thoughts on Corpus Christi? Austin? We’re totally open to driving a couple hours if need be. I guess our plans for the get away is good restaurants, good shopping local, breweries, scenery, walking areas, hiking, bars – entertainment. We are mid 40’s
