Need advice on reliable local suppliers for heavy industry.

Hello fellas,

I work for the company based in Galena Park in Houston, TX. We’re in the process of upgrading our stock and equipment. Previously, we’ve been ordering supplies from all over the world because the price-quality ratio is essential for our business, and we couldn’t find a good match locally around 4 years ago, at the time of the last equipment upgrade.

This time, our management decided to take a different approach and support local businesses in the face of the current global economic fiasco. Many employees were all for this idea because we know that large companies are cutting the number of staff to keep afloat, meaning some of our friends and family might lose their jobs, and nobody wants that.

So, our management decided to restock buying from the local manufacturers. Luckily, we have plenty of them in our area. Since I work with suppliers, it’s my job to find local manufacturers that can deliver the products and equipment we need.

For instance, I found a Houston-based valve manufacturer https://anixusa.com/. I never expected that a local company could offer better prices and quality than our usual China-based supplier.

We also need stainless steel pipes, compressors, and MIG welding machines, among other things.

I’d be grateful if you could recommend local heavy-industry suppliers you’ve worked with and know to be reliable. Googling won’t get me any insights, and the reviews might be fake, so I’m hoping to find suitable suppliers through real people’s recommendations.

Many thanks in advance.
