Following the news that ERCOT commissioners have called an emergency meeting to hike the price of emergency power, while Texans die in their homes is surreal.

There needs to be accountability for this. Texans on non-fixed energy plans will pay hundreds extra on their light bills, so will others on fixed rate plans via service fees.

This is absolutely criminal and a moral catastrophe. ERCOT board of directors and ERCOT's corporate structure needs to have their internal communications from the past 72 hours subpoenaed. If they can call emergency meetings to hike energy prices while mothers freeze to death, they can show the public how they responded.
