I saw this come through a couple times in the megathread but figured it needed to be here on its own as well. Please please please dont heat your house with your gas oven, no matter how tempting it may be. You’re at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, fires, etc.

I brew beer, usually a batch a month and end up with roughly 10 pounds of spent grain per beer. The stuff is golden for feeding a compost pile and I know some people have success with using it in baking.

My compost pile cant quite process that much every month and my baking skills are minimal, unfortunately. Would anyone want to coordinate picking up the grain from me in the Midtown area after I’ve finished with it for my beer? I’d feel bad pitching it straight into the trash afterwards
