Hey all. I'm having a kid in around 7 months and was told that I had to reserve a spot asap at a daycare. We live right around the intersection of 45 and the beltway on the southeast side of Houston, so preferably somewhere near there, and midrange price wise would be best.

I work that day and should be free around 8 but if it only goes till 10 or something it wouldn't be worth it.

So I always thought UHCL was even better than UofH and was fairly prestigious, but now, I know of at least 2 people who have both obviously cheated (and graduated) and lacked the professional ability that I would normally associate with a master's degree (having been someone who tutored them) and I just don't know if it was 2 flukes or if UHCL is not really as "good" as I originally thought. Thoughts?

Bonus question: is getting a degree there worth it's weight in the job market? Or do employers just say "lol UHCL" and toss your application in the garbage?

Moving into a house in Houston in September and I'm looking to get some appliances soon too, a washer, dryer, and couch in particular, but also for other miscellaneous furniture. Home depot/Lowe's/Gallery furniture are all I can think of off the top of my head, so you m looking for good recommendations for those types of things. Any help is appreciated!
