Car towed by Ranger Tow from my apartment complex for "no valid permit", my parking permit wouldn't have been expired (3 months into my lease) and I don't imagine the sticker would have fell off. I called them and they said I had to send them an email through a generic "contact us" page that didn't send me a confirmation email back. They also implied if I retrieved the car now that I wasn't likely to get a refund.

I found this page:
https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/towing/consumerinfo.htm

Is having a hearing the route I should be going instead? And could I pick up my car in the meantime? Am I likely to find any recourse here without investing more time/money than it is worth or is this going to be a case of the little guy just getting stepped on?
