I know this sounds nuts, lol my girlfriend is nuts. We're gonna be in Houston in September for a concert. She loves "tourist trap" areas-- you know the places with the overpriced gift shops, fudge shops, "old timey" photo shops, shops that sell tshirts that most people would never wear, motels where people are chugging beer at 10 in the morning, maybe a Ripleys or something. Basically the kinds of places locals avoid like the plague. If you've ever been to downtown Gatlinburg that's the kind of vibe I'm looking for.

We only need to be in Houston two days and then we'll have a car and don't mind driving out a few hours. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
