Note: Ok so the last time I made this post, I was very sleep deprived from preparing all day to travel back. So when I randomly made that post, I was very cranky and came off as rude. That's on me and I apologize. Now I'm gonna ask again but properly this time.

Hey I'm staying in Houston for month until late January/early Febuary. I have a friend who I haven't since high school trying to find some places/events we can go to while I'm still here. They're some places I went to before like the mfah and the galleria so I'm having trouble finding anything new that I never did. Going to cool resturants, bars, and shops are fun but its not just the only thing I want to do (Plus my friend would need to drive if we're going to bars). I really want to explore around montrose, midtown and possibly the heights with there's any events happening over there. Keep in mind we're both in our early 20's and college aged so preferably, if possible can you recommend some places specifically for around that age range. Bonus if it's an lgbt, anime, or pop culture event. Thanks

Hey I'm coming back to Houston for winter break until late January/Early Febuary. My friend who still lives there wants to hangout with me around that time. Do ya'll have any recommendations of things and events to do in that month that doen't just involve, restuarants, bars, and shopping at the galleria area? Please keep in mind, I'm in my early 20's and I get bored easily so if you can suggest some stuff that are not too touristy but fun that be great. thanks

My dad is visually impaired and is in need of an service/guide dog. He wants to see if he can adopt an pitbull guide dog. Im trying find organizations here that provide adoption and/or training but I'm having trouble finding places. Do y'all have any recommendations for organizations that helps you adopt a trained guide dog?

Just went on a trip to Six Flags last week and stopped by Bucc-ee's on the way. Now I'm craving for them. Is there a way to order fresh Buc-ee's food online like Postmates or something?

When I was 11, my family moved to Houston from Maryland around the D.C. area. Before, we used to travel by train to go to Washington and other cities such as Baltimore. We didn't have a car but, things were so much more accessible than it is here. I admit I'm glad that my family owns a car but, we used to do so many things back then than we do now. I miss the architecture, the local businesses, the transportation, the scenery, and many other things.

Now I only see bland strip malls, big-box chains, and highways. Everything is far away without a car and buses here are terrible. It frustrates me that we're the 4th largest city in the U.S., but we only have three light rail lines that don't even extend outside the loop. It's even hard to find an internship related I what I'm studying cause most jobs are either stem (O&G) related or chain stores.

Don't get me wrong, they're things I really like in Houston like the museums, the restaurants, and festivals. Most of these things are in the inner loop but, I don't live around there. I dunno maybe, coming back from school in Portland just made me miss Maryland and D.C. more while resenting Houston. Since that city reminds me of Maryland. Now here I am, 20 years old on my summer break missing almost everything from there and the urge of wanting to go back. Sorry for this vent I'm just really sad right now.
