Anthony Richardson at 12

It looks like Indy or somebody will sell the farm to get that #1 pick so what do y’all think about going best defensive player at 2 and then picking Richardson at 12.

Dude is a beast; 6’4″ 235lbs and a 4.4 40, very good pocket presence and awareness, and maybe the strongest arm in the draft. Even if our line improves next year our next rookie QB will need to have some level of mobility. We would also need to grab some WRs in either FA or the draft high (I hope we keep Amari Rogers, he really impressed me this year). I’m not really feeling either Young or Stroud at 2 for various reasons so maybe take a shot on Richardson.

610 Shoutout

Landry on 610AM just shouted out the Texans subreddit; specifically ChubbyBrownBear. Leads me to 2 possible conclusions: 1) He thinks CBB has the best takes; 2) Landry Locker IS ChubbyBrownBear. submitted by /u/texans1234 [link] […

Stingley vs. Gardner

I’ve been seeing a lot of the PFF rookie stats popping up on r/nfl the last couple days and they are naming their top performers after week 6. Not a single one has Stingley even listed but every one has Sauce Gardner on there as a top rookie performer. I went to pff’s site and searched.

Stingley is better than Sauce at literally every single category listed (free version only): more solo tackles, more targets, less receptions allowed, more sacks, same interceptions. Stingley is overall rated at 50.4 and Sauce is 73.2.

What gives on this? Are the paid version stats that much more revealing here or something? This just seems dumb.

Deshaun issues

Quite a few of you on here place all the blame on the coaching or the scheme. A former QB Clint Stoerner on 610AM radio broke down all the film from the all-22 for the first 3 games. He noted AT LEAST 10 plays where Deshaun made the wrong decision for the play, several of them for TDs.

One in particular was this past weekend on a 3rd & 4. DJ hit the flat against a slower line backer which is where the play should have gone. The scheme set it up for him to be against a LB and it would have been an easy 1st down reception. They motioned someone pre snap to show that it was man and he had the clear matchup advantage. Deshaun never even looked that way and ended up taking a sack.

This scheme, like every offensive scheme in the NFL opens players up for advantage matchups. Deshaun just isn’t seeing them. On that radio show they had many listeners texting in (maybe some of you) asking why it looks so easy for Pat Mahomes in his offense. The instant answer was that Pat executes their scheme perfectly every time. He goes to the matchup advantage or the player that the play schemes open. Most of the time he knows it pre snap based off the defensive being run. Deshaun doesn’t do this on a consistent basis. It’s why the offense looked so good in the first half and didn’t in the second half.

Look Deshaun is my guy; I LOVE him as our QB. But he HAS to progress on the mental side of the game at some point. It’s year 4 he has to show improvement in this area. Plays are open, he’s just gotta consistently make the right decision.

610 Spin Cycle

Landry and Lopez are at it again. Immediately after JJ’s zoom conference call just now they are trying to manipulate his statements into critiques of BOB, BOB being a reason he is not wanting an extension and potentially leaving after his contract.

Damn those dudes have literally nothing to offer they have to use audible click-bait to stay relevant.
