I'm new to the area so I don't really know where to look, but I have desktop that won't start. Did all the troubleshooting I could on my own but I need someone to test out if any components on my computer might be fried and need replacing.

Since it's a self built PC with expensive parts I just don't want to leave it at any shop I find through Google.

Hey folks, I lived in Houston from 2019 to mid 2020 and loved it (pandemic aside) and now I'm moving back due to work opportunities.

My original plan was to rent where I lived before at first then look at nicer places since I'm married now. One thing I didn't expect (and I'm utterly shocked at) are the crime stories in all review pages I look at. Even the place I was renting (a so called "luxury complex") that used to have a 4.7 rating on Google now shows multiple counts of crime and rating dropped to 3.9. What's going on?

Everywhere that rents 1 Bed / 1 bath under 2k/month (which is already out of my budget) even in nicer parts of the city seem to be riddled with car break-ins, wheel/cat converter theft or even apartment unit break-ins.

Even though I know Houston is a huge city and that implies increased crime I wasn't expecting such a sudden change, that's why I chose to come back. i loved Houston and this wasn``'t expected at all.

Is it really going to be me having to spend over my budget on rent to try and have some peace of mind that I wont wake up to my car on blocks before having to get to the office?
