Hurricane Houston

Is anyone else worried that what happened to Lake Charles will… oh I don’t know… happen here? Like, maybe the city of Houston gets a hurricane worse than Ike and maybe it gets hit twice? I see so much development, so many homes and apartments and new buildings. Hell, we have a new skyscraper being built as we speak. But Lake Charles is almost the same distance from shore as Houston. Is anyone else worried about the longevity of this town? As hurricanes both increase in intensity and increase in number (this year marks the single greatest number of named Atlantic storms in recorded US history), why are we building more and more? Shouldn’t we be, like, moving towards College Station?
