Currently an out of state student college student in Houston looking to go to Galveston in the future with some friends. Neither of us have cars since we aren't native Houstonians. It seems like there are charter buses that bring people from Houston's airports to the port of Galveston for Carnival cruises and we could possibly get to our places from the port, but we might have to just default to rideshare as the quickest solution. We. are looking for ways to get the most distance out of free metro rides from university however. Guess we should just take metro to the closest area to Galveston it will take us and call Uber there?
