Hi neighbors! My family (2 adults, 2 kids) & I are going on a weekend roadtrip to Bastrop. I'm aware that it's a short trip haha.. We have little experience traveling outside of Houston, so I was hoping someone could share some good family friendly stops along the way. I have to mention that I'm trying to be as frugal as possible, so parks are a plus :)

We plan on taking the I-10/Hwy 71 one way & Hwy 290 on the other (to maximize any possible stops/attractions)

Hello peoples. I'm currently trying to plan ahead for our family summer vacation, & I was wondering if ya'll had any suggestions to any good campsites with lodging/cabins? I personally have never gone camping, but it's something I'd like to experience once with my husband & kids. I surfed the web a bit & found the Yogi Bear camp/resort. I'd like to think it's an easy first time camp, but I need some opinions. If you know of any other locations or advice, let me know :) Thank you.
