I'm very politically engaged and know enough to vote for executive and legislative positions.

Judges – especially local ones – are a different story. I feel like party identification means less, and having little experience with the courts myself, I'm not up to speed on what matters most right now.

I'll use the League of Women Voters guide as a launching point, but does anyone have any wisdom or insight to offer? I want to exercise my right to vote, but not to elect bad judges who happen to have the right letter next to their name. But unless I want to spend many, many hours googling, I won't know more than their word for it in the LWV guide.

(not Tex-Mex) https://houstonnewmedia.org/vegetarian-friendly-mexican-not-tex-mex/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=vegetarian-friendly-mexican-not-tex-mex Sat, 14 Nov 2020 03:43:23 +0000 http://houstonnewmedia.org/?guid=f49cf5d3f3277133c6a70a4969f5bde2 I have vegetarian friends visiting from out-of-state, and they mostly just know Tex-Mex and avoid Mexican because nearly everything has lard in it. Any actually Mexican places that have actually vegetarian options? submitted by /u/SoWhat...
