Do not trade watson, work that s**t out

I do not care if you offer me all your draft picks the 3 years and several star players, do not trade a qb you won’t find again. Who here remembers when houston had every piece to win, except one… QB. Do we really wanna fucking go back down that road? Having a ceiling only as good as the qb we have. Cool the #3 defense in 2015.. loses 30-0 in playoffs.. the #1 defense a year later.. loses 34-16 in the playoffs. The texans will have all the picks next year and can free up cap to get 35m+ in cap space. Cal needs to put his big boy pants on and fix the relationship with watson.

Getting out of cap hell

Pre/post 6/1 cut and trades this off-season using over the cap website

Jj – 17.5 – hate to see this Martin – 6.25/7.5 Fulton – 3 Dav johnson – 6.7 Duke johnson – 5 Fells – 2.3 Kelemente – 1.75 Mckinney – 6.4/7.2 Murray cut – .9/2.4 -trade – 4.4/6 Dunn – 3.1

With all these cuts and trades made and taking into the account houston is around 18.4m over the cap, the Texans can get their cap room in the range of 34.5m to 38.05m, with a murray trade adding a few more million. If houston can restructure Cooks, they could add 2m-4m and Mercilus trade could add another 7.5m-10.5m. With a cooks restructure and pre 6/1 Merc trade the cap space jumps to anywhere from 45.5m to 48.5m. Free agents to try and retain -fuller -Adams, he had 125 tackles in 2020 he can replace mckinney -Brown -watkins -Conley on a prove it deal -weeks -qvale -rod johnson

2022 will look better with the only two free agents i’d keep being reid, jacob martin, and crossen, depending how their season plays out.

There is a way out, lets see what nick can do.
