Doesn't make a huge amount of difference, to be honest, but it feels nice to think that we (technically) would have three first round picks next year if we stay on track for the worst record in the league.

...the NFL had better schedule our game against that team next year to be a Houston home game. This fanbase should not be denied the catharsis of seeing his punk ass obliterated after we load up Lovie's defense with stud players this year and next.

With the report earlier today about Bieniemy taking the job on the condition that he retains some roster control, I've seen a lot of people here and elsewhere interpreting that as strictly EB wanting some say in the way the organization handles players going forward.

But given Watson has a pretty well known desire for Bieniemy to come aboard, I wouldn't be surprised if Watson has been in contact with him and asked him to press that condition on behalf of both of them. The organization knows they have to please Deshaun and that makes Bieniemy as a head coaching candidate a pretty likely choice, if only to get in D4's good graces again. And since Watson knows that and given his clear frustration over personnel moves in the past, why WOULDN'T Watson want Bieniemy to have some roster control so as to avoid trades like the one for Hopkins again.

Just a thought, but I think this is part of Watson's moves towards gaining greater leverage and control over the organization moving forward.

Seeing a lot of people being less than enthused by some of the recent HC interviews and I'm here to say - relax.

First off, the team has said they want to hire a GM first and then determine who will be head coach. So these interviews prior to that hiring are more than likely procedural. These are the people they can readily interview and it's probably good for Cal to get as many interviews as possible given he's never done this before.

Expect the Bieniemy, Daboll, Saleh, etc. interviews to come later on as their seasons actually wrap up and we have a GM. These recent HC interviews are probably procedural if nothing else.

Quite possibly the worst Texans team ever put to field. Firing on absolutely no cylinders, led by a GM/HC/OC who traded away this team's future with no gameplan for the present.

I'll see y'all next year. Hanging up my Texans jerseys while I watch the Seahawks since I'm having to watch my Texans implode from half a country away in Seattle. I genuinely hope they go 0-16 so even Cal McNair can smell the s**t that needs to be changed.
