About 10 last night, my actual kitten was sitting on the dresser and was staring at the upper room corner. I turned off my sleep story and there is a kitten in my attic. Clearly a tiny one.

I went up and put in food and water. Refed and watered this morning before work.

I can see Mama – she’s feral, and terrified, and hissy, and maybe hurt – but I cannot see kitten.

I can’t get to them … I’m five-ten and 160, and Mama is in a bed of insulation and who knows where the kitten is.

Who do I call to help out? I cannot let these babies die. I’ve called SPCA and Harris County Animal Control, no dice. I called Vexcon in Shreveport to see if they have a humane referral here, and they do not. I’m on the phone with Texas Parks & Wildlife right now. I cannot let these babies die.

Hi! This is a little more than a regular “I need someone to mow” post.

I have a house I was out of for several months last year. My ex did not mow the entire time. It is … not good.

I’m looking for a service to do an initial big ole mow, then (if they do) a monthly maintenance. I’ll need a quote on the up-front because it’s a large job.

Might someone be able to refer me to a service you like?
