Hey fellow Houstonians! So, my husband and I are looking into buying a home. We saw a DR Horton home in Fulshear. We liked the model home and floorplan so much we immediately put earnest money down, signed a contract, and pretty much said yup, this is it. We also wanted to lock in the 4.99% interest rate since interest rates are soaring high right now. For the price point, the square footage that we get is amazing also. I went ahead and looked at their reviews just because, and MY GOD they have horrible reviews with BBB as well as consumer reports. My thing is - what do we do here? I am so worried about it, but my husband says we can get an inspector and have them thoroughly inspect and repair anything that's not right. I have gone down the rabbit hole of bad reviews and this is consuming my life right now. Can someone please tell me that it's not all that bad??

We had a home prior to this that was built by Legend Homes that started falling apart. We sold and moved into an apartment, our lease is up in May, so we have no choice but to renew the lease or buy a house.

The house itself is in a developing area so it's abour 20-30 mins away from Katy and anything else.

Please tell me it's not all horror stories with them! :(
