Hi folks - Did a search on this, but most of the topics were from 3+ years ago, so obviously the situation might have changed a bit, and just searching via Google mostly returned results from inside the airport.

I have family flying into Hobby in a couple of months. Since they're landing around 5, and I work downtown, it makes more sense to just grab dinner shortly after they land, vs. trying to fight through traffic. It'll be mom and dad (50s), sister and her husband (30s), and three kiddos (4, 4, 6). Not really any dietary restrictions, but they're not really gourmets either. (Well, my parents, although the kids are still mostly in the mac-and-cheese phase too.)

I've flown in and out of Hobby a couple of times, so I know the immediate area near the airport probably isn't recommended. Does anyone have recommendations within a 30-minute radius? We'll be headed toward Katy after, so places more "on the way" to there are better than, say, between Hobby and Pearland.

It seems like Wall has done a major media buy for this, because I keep seeing the Litvak ad constantly on KPRC this morning. If you've managed to avoid it so far, you can see it here. Texas Scorecard has a summary of the race here - Wall only got around 19 percent of the vote in the initial primary, so I suppose she has to take the biggest, ugliest swings she can in the ads.

Of course, seeing the ad got me down the rabbit hole of, "What the hell actually happened here?" The answer is... ambiguous. There was a thread on this sub about it, and speculation on another forum.

The actual newspaper articles about the incident from the Chronicle and the Katy outlets are pretty much one-source stories, telling the family's side of the story, but there's no indication that an arrest was ever made. A Google search reveals a 2019 indictment, of the girl for drug possession, but not much else.
