I don't know anything about birds but my pops says they are vultures. They are huge and there are sometimes 5+ roaming the block at once. They have come after my small cat a couple times (literally swooping down at her) so I've been keeping her inside all day, every day. I have a second cat that is kinda big and weighs 15lbs, is he in danger of the birds too?

Is there anything else I can do to protects my cats? They are both outside cats and have been going kinda crazy stuck in the house. The birds (very cool looking and pretty btw) have been hanging around the neighborhood since summer I think. Is there any way I can get them to move on or to stay away from my yard? Or do I have to just wait them out? Are my cats in any real danger from them? My neighbor has two tiny wiener dogs that he lets run around the neighborhood and I'm afraid for them too. I'm just wondering what my fellow Houstonians do in this situation.
