I'm new(ish) to Houston and kinda overwhelmed with the size of Houston and the variety of arts offerings. Back in my small-city hometown I was able to participate in weekend arts & crafts shows and show my art in a small hippy-owned gallery that was part of the monthly art walk. What is available in Houston that might be kinda like this? How do I connect with other artsy people who want to create but who also have day jobs? I'd love to hear suggestions and/or start some private convos. Even better would be able to get together and share over coffee or the beverage of your choice, maybe gather together to art together.
