Hello all,

I need some help here. I am planning to move from CT to TX for job reasons. It is mostly work from home but need to go to work twice a week to Houston downtown which I can manage even if it's far.

I have found a few houses in MO and in Sugar land that I like. But this one MO house is better bang for the buck. It's in 77489 and it's close to S Sam Houston Parkway and Ford Bend parkway.

But I keep reading about issues like safety, high crime, flooding, power outages and even lopsided racial proportion in the this area. My realtor keeps telling me it's a good neighborhood. But he is a realtor. I have to take his words with a grain of salt. I have been to Houston, once.

Can someone who lives there or knows Houston well please give me some info and opinion? Thank you in advance.
