Berkshire Neighborhood – Real Estate??
Hi y’all,
My husband and I recently moved to Houston and are looking at homes to purchase. One of the homes we are considering is located in the Berkshire neighborhood, priced around $360k. BUT, there are some AC units, water heaters to replace in the coming years due to their age so I can easily add about $20k to the total price get that all replaced.
Given the median prices of homes in that area, we are concerned that we might be investing in a house/area that’s not on an uptick for ‘house appreciation’ – especially given that we will be making enhancements to the place.
Has anyone heard of this neighborhood and do you have any advice on what we should consider before purchasing?
We’re first time home buyers in a new city – so appreciate any advice & tips we can get.
