Whole House Dehumidifier?

I live in a 3-story townhouse and part of our upper floor is always very humid (like around 65-80%) even with the AC on and while the rest of the house is at a normal humidity (like 45-55%). We even had mold growth there that we had to remove recently. We’re trying to figure out what to do to lower the humidity in this part of the house.

An HVAC person who has worked on our house before recommended we get a whole-house dehumidifier, like a unit by Aprilaire. From what I’ve read, these will be very effective at lowering the humidity levels in our entire house. They should be ideal for times like now in the fall, when it’s not all that hot, but is still very humid, so we can we dehumidify without running the AC all the time and making our house too cold.

However, they are expensive (the HVAC guy estimated that this will be about $3,000 all together for the dehumidifier and installation work in our attic, including connecting it to the sewer line to drain out). Despite living in Houston for much of my life, I’m not sure I know of anyone who has a whole-house dehumidifier. Does anyone have a whole-house dehumidifier? What did you think of it? Is it worth the cost?

Recommendation for a tire shop that is familiar with electric cars?

I recently got an electric car and have my first tire leak. It would just require a plug or patch, so typically I’d just take it to any tire shop for the routine fix. However, with an electric car, I know the lift points are right next to the battery compartment on the bottom of the car. Does anyone have any experience with a tire shop that is used to dealing with electric cars, so knows to lift them safely without damaging the battery? I’m sure within a few years, everyone will know how to work on these, but electric cars are still new enough that not everyone has dealt with them.
