I'm sorry but I need to be heard by somebody.....anybody. The system failed me. On Feb 7th 2020, at 6:45 am, a drunk driver crashed into me at 90+ mph. He suffered no injuries, tried to leave the scene, refused the breathalyzer, and had to have a warrant served for his blood. He is/was a professional driver with a CDL and still didn't take driving seriously. I suffered bruises, a massive impact contusion on my head, jaw issues, and now have to take meds for PTSD. The prosecutor promised me justice but lied. He was finally convicted: 1 yr probation, keeps his DL, and walks free. He has to listen to a panel of victims and/or victim family members, but not me. So unfair. This man has fucked me up mentally and physically and I feel like no one cares. I feel so betrayed. I did absolutely nothing wrong and this asshole gets it swept under the rug. Why will this man change his ways if he has no real repercussions. It might be you or 1 of your loved ones next. I'm sorry for venting, this is just so fucked up. Yes, his insurance and my insurance paid (since he was under insured) and was settled but that doesn't cover my future expenses due to his drunk, stupid actions. I'm disgusted. Again, I apologize, this just isn't right. I was so ready for justice so I could continue living my life and forget about this life changing ordeal but I'm mentally worse off than how bad physically I was.
