Last night was my birthday and I ended it in the ER.

I had chills, body numbness and was tired. The ambient air felt cold enough that it attacked me when I took off my robe. It was 75 degrees and my body temp was 98-99. Everything fucking hurt. And prior my skin felt sore when clothes gently rubbed it.

I got scared, partly cause anxiety from the meds prescribed for my sinus infection but also because I felt weak and was worried I wouldn’t be able to get up in the morning without assistance. I’ve been self quarantining from my family and partner for a few days just in case.

My brother drove me to the ER because I felt too light headed to do so myself. 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM and here I am. Diagnosed with Covid-19 and praying that my little brother who is sick, doesn’t feel what I feel. I’m on day 6 of symptoms and the doctor said it’s going to get worse. A COVID survivor I spoke with in the waiting room mentioned the same.

Wear masks people. Be smart. I live in CityCentre and love it. But the other day I went to get food and snacks from multiple restaurants and they were packed. I literally ran into one with shoulder to shoulder people (waiting for tables!!) so I could get my food and run out. My mom is vulnerable as hell and I’m worried for my partner. Don’t be so careless. I spent most of the year trying to be safe for everyone, avoiding crowds and busy stores but I still may have gotten them sick.

Has anyone gotten tested with a partner and had to wait longer than them?

Just a quick question. This weekend I got tested for COVID with my partner at the same time from an urgent care clinic. She got her PCR results yesterday but I’ve yet to get any notifications from Labcorp. Has anyone else experienced this?

edit: it was CareNow, previously I went to one in Sugarland but got my results in almost literally 24 hours
