Good electricity provider?

Hey yall,

I just signed a lease for a 1bed/1bath condo, which is all electric – no gas. So I was wondering what some of the good options are for electricity providers, specifically fixed rates? But any advice is welcome. Because outside of hearing/seeing TXU, Reliant, etc. in ads, I’m unfamiliar with which providers are good since the units I’ve rented have all come with utilities included already. Plus, the whole 2021 winter storm fiasco kind of adds to my worries lol.

Is Go4Rent.com commonly used?

So, I’ve been trying to find a place to rent for while now; sifting endlessly through Zillow, Har, etc. And either the properties have a red flag that I’ll notice when doing a tour, or someone else beats me out by already being applied. You know, just a bunch of bad luck. So now, I finally found a nice condo that passes all my checks, and the realtor mentioned that the owner said Im the best applicant based off what I texted when inquiring about the property (the others were rejected). Every thing felt smooth as the tour came to a close, and then the realtor said that the application would be sent to me in a link, which was go4rent.com, a listing agency based here in The Woodlands.

I’ve seen applications online and whatnot, but I’ve never heard of go4rent prior to this. And it seemed promising because she explained how you dont get charged the application fee unless the owner approves of your application info, which would then be sent to go4rent to start the background check. But I dont know, the site just seems to have a few technical difficulties, and I cant really find that much info about it online or even searching on here. And after you’re approved to rent the property, you have to put your checking account and routing number on your website profile in order to pay the rent, if Im not mistaken. Just wanted to know if anyone else has any experience with Go4Rent, or if this is like the new, convenient platform for landlords/tenants that I’ve somehow avoided until now? I think I’m just being skeptical at the moment, but I’m also conflicted because I would hate to lose this condo.
