[Lerner] The Astros are skipping Hunter Brown’s next turn in the rotation and starting Framber Valdez, Cristian Javier and Justin Verlander at Miami. Brown said he will be available out of the bullpen in Miami and if he doesn’t pitch there he will start the opener vs Seattle on Friday.

[Nightengale] Talks with the #Astros have accelerated the last 24 hours, and the #Mets have made it clear they’re willing to move him. Verlander has a full no-trade clause, just as Max Scherzer did. Who knew a week ago they could be pitching in the same state as AL West rivals?
