[Request] Community feedback on Texans reporters?
With the incredible amount of reporters out there nowadays, it’s hard to tell who’s trustworthy and who’s not when they tweet out (“report“) things. Whose words can you trust, and whose can you not?
So I come to you guys with these questions:
- Which Texans reporters, when their name’s on a report/tweet, do you trust it to be true?
- Whose claims (ex: signings, trades, speculation) need to be taken with a grain (or chunk) of salt?
- Are there seemingly random accounts that somehow seem to have inside information?
- Any that repeatedly claim to have sources, but are regularly wrong?
- Any national reporters that can (or cannot) be trusted? (ex: Jeremy Fowler, Mike Garafolo, etc)
We want to stick to just facts. This means not downgrading someone just b/c they say “mean” things.
If their reports on transactions, rumors, or what they speculate tends to be true, that’s what matters.
To be clear (since this has been a problem in different subs):
This is NOT about reporters’ personalities or how you feel about them.
This is about who breaks stories (or anticipates things that’ll happen) and does so correctly, instead of making claims that turn out to be false.
The product of this will be an organized page I’ll host on Raiderology that everyone can reference.
I don’t do these things to make money. I just want to help people with information.
Eventually, this deep dive will be shared on r/nfl (and the completed product back with you guys).
I figure for each team to credit you fans specifically. I think it’d be a great community effort, where we can all work together to create an accountability report of sorts, for all the reporters out there.
