I am not a Texans fan, but I always thought the Oilers were a great mascot for Houston from afar and I always liked their uniforms.

It made me curious. Did the Texans during the organization's formation or at some point in their history ever look to purchase the Oilers name or uniforms as alternate? Just seeing an alternate powder blue Texans uniform would be cool (even if it was a bull head rather than oil derrick logo).
